Juan P. BadilloIt seems like actor Sean Penn's interview of Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, is causing more speculations and may taint the reputation of the celebrated actor. Mr Penn who in his Rolling Stone article on El Chapo stated that El Chapo volunteered information on his illegal enterprise. Penn went further and quoted El Chapo saying, "I supply more heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana than anybody else in the world. I have a fleet of submarines, airplanes, trucks and boats".

Refuting Mr. Penn's claims, one of Guzman's lawyer, Juan Pablo Badillo in a statement called Mr. Penn a liar and even demanded the actor be called to testify in Guzman's trial due to the implications of his article. Mr. Guzman was capturedSean Penn & Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman on Friday January 8, 2016 by Mexican authorities and they have confirmed that Mr. Penn's meeting with Guzman in a Mexican jungle hideout was essential to his capture.

Juan “El Chapo” Guzman is a Mexican drug lord who has escaped the custody of Mexican authorities on numerous occasions. His last daring prison escape was broadcast on televisions worldwide and the internet.
